About Al baraka Collective

Al baraka Collective is a project that brings together art and craft, exploring the relationship between cultural memory,
materials, and contemporary hand-made practices. The project begins with a desire to create a platform that allows artists and
artisans to present their work within a context that bridges traditional craftsmanship and contemporary artistic
experimentation. Aalbaraka offers a collection of artistic and cultural products inspired by elements of heritage and local
memory. Through this process, ornaments, materials, and stories connected to place are transformed into contemporary
objects that carry both aesthetic and cultural meaning. These works intersect with fields such as art, education, and visual
experience, opening new ways of engaging with and re-reading heritage. Alongside the works developed by the founder of the
project, Aalbaraka Collective also creates space for collaboration with artists and artisans who share a similar spirit. The
platform allows them to present their work and share their products through the collective. In doing so, the project aims to
support independent artistic and craft practices while building a space that brings together individual creation and collective
work. Each piece in Aalbaraka carries the trace of the hand that made it and the story of the place it comes from. Together, these
works form part of an ongoing attempt to connect traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic imagination.

Meet Duaa
Founder of the Project

Duaa Abu Sada is an artist from jawlan working on artistic and research-based projects that explore the relationship between
material memory, ornament, and traditional crafts in Bilad al-Sham. In her work, she looks closely at the small elements that live
around us — tiles, patterns, plants, and materials — seeking to reinterpret them within a contemporary context.

For her, art is not only what hangs on a wall, but also what lives in the objects we create and use in our everyday lives.

From this interest, Duaa founded Al Baraka Collective as a natural extension of her artistic practice — a space that allows her to
develop creative projects while collaborating with artists and makers who share a similar interest in craft, materials, and
cultural memory.
